Sermon Series • Why I Am a (Traditional) Methodist

Being a believer in Christ is the most important identity anyone can have. Denominational affiliation doesn’t even come in as a close second, but it does matter. What does it mean to be a faithful, warm-hearted Christian in the Wesleyan tradition? What distinguishes us from believers from other traditions? These are important questions to address, particularly as the United Methodist denomination approaches a point of separation into new denominations.

Traditional Methodists:

6/06  Share the same basic beliefs of other orthodox Christians

6/13  Hold Together Love for God and Love for People

6/20  Are Organized and Accountable

6/27  Believe People Are Personally Responsible

7/04  Expect the Holy Spirit to Transform Believers

7/11  Possess Evangelistic Ambition

Spring Connect Groups

Summer Connect Groups begin the week of June 6th. See available Connect Groups HERE

What are Connect Groups? A Connect Group is usually 8 to 12 people who come together with similar interests. A variety of interest based groups for children, youth, and adults are offered three times a year.

Why Connect Groups? Smaller is better. How often do you hear that? Jesus spoke often on the value of friendship and community. Even as God in the flesh, Christ needed companions. We do as well! Sign-up for Connect Groups HERE
