Lenten Devotional • Walk with Jesus
Over the next 40 days of Lent, join us as we take a daily walk through the life and ministry of Jesus. Each day you will have a daily Scripture and prayer to read. We pray that during this season of Lent that you will come to discover more of who our Lord and Savior is, and the love he has for us all. Lenten Devotionals will be posted on the Mount Zion Facebook page, Monday through Saturday.
Sermon Series • Man on a Cross
Crucifixion became the symbol of dominance of the Roman Empire for centuries. In some ways Jesus’ death on a cross was not unlike thousands of others who suffered the wrath or Rome. On the other hand, Jesus’ crucifixion stands out as unique because he is unlike anyone who has ever lived or died. Jesus’ earthly life is one of surrender and sacrifice that culminates with his sufferings and death on the cross. To look at Jesus’ sacrificial death is to see a summary of his sacrificial life. In this series of messages we will look at Jesus’ life through the lens of his death and see how it challenges and changes our own living and dying.

Easter At Home Kits
Easter egg hunts are such fun, and this year we will be offering you the chance to have an Easter egg hunt at home! Starting on Sunday, March 7th, families will be able to pick up an Easter at Home kit. You can grab these for your children, or grandchildren, or even take one and drop it off at a neighbor’s house. Each bag will include 30 candy filled eggs, 12 empty eggs, and a home guide for how to create your own Resurrection Eggs. You and your family can experience the Easter story using items from your home, and backyard, that the guide will direct you on. We encourage you to take pictures of your family going thru the story and share them with everyone on the Mount Zion Facebook page.
Walk To The Cross • 4/1 & 4/2 • 4-8 PM
Walk to the Cross is a way to remember Jesus’ sacrifice for us. It will be an outdoor, self-paced, meditative, walk-through experience of seven events in Jesus’ life, beginning with his last supper and concluding with his burial. Just park in the main church parking lot. The journey begins under the portico outside the sanctuary, where printed instructions with a map directing you to the other stations will be available. A corresponding audio narration, with selected music, will also be available on the church website for you to access on a smartphone. You may take as long as you wish at each station to think and pray.
