Leonard was born near Erie, Pennsylvania, and moved to Kentucky when he was 15. He graduated from Kentucky Wesleyan College and Asbury Theological Seminary. He has pastored churches in Elkton and Hanson, Kentucky, and in Halifax and Bailey, North Carolina, before coming to Mount Zion in 2007. ISAAC (JIWON) RYU
Isaac was born and raised in South Korea where he received his Masters degree in Choral Conducting and started serving as a Music Pastor when he was 25. When Isaac came to California to attend a seminary school, he met his wife, Julie An. Isaac and Julie have three children, Heaven, Gabriel and Noel. Jenni was born in Nebraska and was very active with the youth in her church growing up. As an adult, she moved here from the Kansas area with her family and settled in Clayton, NC. Julie is from Seoul, Korea and was raised in Southern CA since the age of 11. She graduated from Manhattan School of Music, and received her Bachelors and Masters degree in Classical Vocal Performance. Next Generation Minister
Sarah Beth grew up in the community of Clayton. Sarah Beth has been a Youth Leader, Sunday School teacher and Confirmation Leader at her previous church for over 10 years. While serving Sarah answered God’s call to ministry and earned her Masters in Practical Theology with a specialty in Youth Ministries. She loves spending time with her friends, family and her pets. She loves the beach and watching sports, especially ACC college basketball (Go Heels!) She is excited to be in ministry at Mount Zion and to be working with children, youth and families. Erin Nenni grew up in Benson, NC. She graduated from East Carolina University in 2005 and later began a professional career in music, both writing and performing. Erin, her husband (Louie), and their three boys have been actively involved at Mount Zion since 2011. She is passionate about music and believes that through authentic worship, where we humble ourselves before God and praise His name, we can move into a closer and deeper relationship with Him. Marilyn was born in Warren, PA. She and her husband, Doug, have been married for over 35 years and have two children, Evan and Mary. Their family has lived in Willow Spring for many years. Previously, Marilyn's husband served in the military, and they have lived in Tennessee, Louisiana, and Georgia. Marilyn has held several office positions over the years, managed the Mt. Martha was born and raised in Rocky Mount, North Carolina She graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. She worked at North Carolina State University until her son was born. After taking 2 years off she went back to work part time and has had several accounting positions over the years.
