Sunday School:
Exploring has become a popular activity in our culture. With
special equipment like GPS (global positioning satellite), digital
mapping, wireless internet and phone services, and specialized gear
and equipment, folks are striking out in search of what was lost or
hidden.
Explore"Faith" at Mount Zion! This is your
chance to dig a little deeper and find out what's below the
surface of "Faith." Your special equipment is a B-I-B-L-E, and it
acts as a map, personal GPS, and instruction manual!
Sunday School classes begin at 10:00 each Sunday morning and are led
by some of the best guides (teachers) available.
Please
join us in exploring the Faith and come back often!
Adult Sunday School classes
offered at Mount Zion:
Sunday School is a time to gain a deeper understanding of God’s word
and a place for you to build relationships. Mount Zion offers
several Sunday School classes for adults. We invite you to visit
any of these classes:
·
The College & Early Career class discusses the Biblical perspective
on life experiences. This class is led by Myrtle Earley and Al
Andrews. They meet in the classroom beside the choir room, behind
the Chapel.
·
The Bible Seekers is a women’s class led by Elaine Heintzelman, who
is using the International Bible Series, studying all books in the
Bible. This class meets in the parlor (which is the room to the
right as you enter the Sanctuary).
·
The Fishers of Men class welcomes men of all ages for
this open discussion class presently studying the book of Matthew.
A study of Revelation begins in a few weeks. Class members volunteer to teach a book study. They meet in the classroom
across from the nursery.
·
The Good Samaritans class meets in the Fellowship Hall and is led by
Les Brown. This class will begin a new study in August based on
the book “Purpose Driven Life.”
·
The Pathfinders class takes a recent event in the news and looks at
specific Bible passages to find the “path” toward God’s response to
this event. The class is led by Terry Tolbert and Leslie Moreland
and meets in the Chapel.
·
The Share
& Care class is a discussion class currently using the book, “The
Revealer” for lessons each week. They meet in the classroom
behind the kitchen and take turns leading the class. All ages are
welcome!
Classes are held from 10:00 to 10:45
a.m. each Sunday. There is no sign-up process for classes – just
drop in. If you would like for someone to walk with you to class or
introduce you to a few folks, just come by the Fellowship Hall. We would also like to start two
more Sunday School classes; please see Pastor Leonard for more
information.

There's a place for you!
