Habitat at the Park Fundraiser

Saturday, May 17

Lake Benson Park in Garner

Begins at 6 a.m.

Everyone is invited to the Habitat at the Park fundraiser on Saturday, May 17, at Lake Benson Park in Garner.  Plan to attend and bring your family to help us raise money for a Habitat for Humanity home.

The fundraiser opens at 6 a.m. with a plant sale, yard sale, bake sale, craft sale, and concession stands (providing breakfast, lunch, and dinner).  The children's area opens at 9 a.m. with games, air-filled play structures, balloon animals, face painting, and hot air balloon rides.

There will be live entertainment from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. including Declaration (Horne Memorial UMC youth praise band), Studio 5 Dance Team, Lisa Kelbaugh, Journey of Grace (Garner UMC praise band), Brothers in Bluegrass, Doug Meeker, and Sunday Halo.

Don't miss the live auction at 6 p.m.

This fundraiser is presented by the Power of 7 Missions, which is seven local churches who have come together with a purpose to provide a home for a deserving family in our community.

Lake Benson Park is located in Garner at 921 Buffalo Road.

• Monday, May 19 (7 p.m.):  White Elephant Sale sponsored by the Stevens/Lane women's group.  Sale will be held in the Fellowship Hall.  Proceeds go to various missions and to their senior citizen ministry.  Everyone is invited!

• Saturday, May 31:  Youth Ministry day of service.  If you know of someone who needs something done around the house, yard work, etc., please contact the church office.

2008 Mount Zion Photo Directory

Everyone attending Mount Zion is invited to have their picture taken for the photo directory.  Olan Mills will be taking pictures on the following dates and times:

Thursday, June 5, 3 to 9 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall

Friday, June 6, 3 to 9 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall

Saturday, June 7, 1 to 5 p.m. in the Narthex

Tuesday, June 10, 3 to 9:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall

Be sure to sign-up in the Narthex for the best time for your family.  Every family who gets photographed will receive a free 8 x 10 and a free directory.  There is no obligation to purchase any other pictures.
