Everyone who
attends Mount Zion is invited to sign up in the narthex to have
their picture taken for the 2008
photo directory.
Every family who gets photographed will receive a free 8x10 and
directory. Sign-up sheet is in the Narthex.

United Methodist Men's group is offering
scholarships to
children who would like to attend Methodist summer camps.

We are collecting
rice and beans for the Shepherd's Shelf
Food Pantry for
May. There will be a special food collection, "Feed the
Need," for Shepherd's Shelf in June.

Please save clean, empty aluminum cans and juice pouches for
recycling by the
Kid's Club.

Help
Wanted: Guides needed for Exploration Station (Sunday
School). Help our children to grow in their faith;
share stories of Jesus; share love and laughter.
Guaranteed to keep you youthful and energetic. The pay is
small but the benefits are large! If you are an adult
looking for new adventure or just tired of the same ol' same ol'...please
consider applying. Taking applications for both part-time and
full-time. Only those with a right heart need apply.

The Missions Committee is asking for donations of new and used
Bibles and Christian
materials to be distributed around the world. There
is a list of needed items on the shelves in the narthex and in
your newsletter. Please donate before May 25.

We will be recognizing Mount Zion's college and high school
graduates at
upcoming worship services. If you have a graduate in your
family, please be sure that the church office has the
information.

June newsletter
items need to be turned in to the office by Wednesday, May 21.

The Sisters of Faith
Circle will not be meeting in May. Instead they are asking
members to bake or volunteer for the Habitat for Humanity
fundraiser.

The women's softball
team is in desperate need of sponsors. $500 is needed to
give to Mount Moriah on Monday to assist with the fees paid to
the referees and other costs for the field. If you choose
to make this donation, the appropriate documentation will be
provided for your taxes. If you have questions, please
call Frances Liles at 772-1948.

There will be envelopes available in the narthex on May 11 for
those who want to give a special gift for the
benevolent care
at the United Methodist retirement homes.

The Youth softball
game scheduled for Saturday, May 10, has been cancelled.
